British MI5 Internment Act of War in British Occupied Ireland
by BrianClarkeNUJ - AllVoices Fri Nov 02, 2012 20:28
Marian Price is just one of several Irish people still interned in British Occupied Ireland for almost 18 months, during which time neither Marian or her lawyers have been allowed to see any of Britain's ‘alleged’ evidence against her.
• She has been kept in solitary confinement in a ‘male’ high security prison
• She is effectively interned without a trial, sentence, or release date.
• She has not been given any timescale for any investigation.
• She has not been allowed to see the evidence that the state claims to have
• Her release has been ordered on two occasions by judges. However, on both occasions the British Vice royal has overruled those decisions.
• The Vice royal claims they ‘revoked Marian’s license, ’despite Marian never being released on license. She was given a Royal Pardon.
• Marian’s Royal Pardon has ‘gone missing’ from the home office (the only time in history). The British Vice royal has taken the view that unless a paper copy can be located – it must be assumed that she does not have one. It is generally agreed that MI5 shredded her majesty's pardon.
• Despite no ‘license’ existing for her release from prison in 1980, it is the non-existent licence that is being used to keep her in prison.
• She can only be released by Theresa Villiers the current Vice royal responsible for Marian's internment.
The second last time Marian appeared in court, the charges against her were thrown out of court for lack of evidence by a Judge. Now the very same charges have been re-instated against Marian again in front of the very same Judge!
In secret courts, being introduced secretly, by the back door, through legislation in the House of Lords, MI5 the British secret service, push for secret trials to take place, with secret evidence by secret witnesses, that not even the defendant's lawyers are allowed to know or see. The length of sentence is secret with it all kept secret, under penalty of a long jail sentence, of their Official Secret's Act.
Despite protests of defence lawyers, the secret courts will operate, with virtually no rules of evidence, no discovery rules, no rules of decision and no rules regarding precedent. Not only will traditional law be in short supply, so too, will any sense, as to what interpretive practices would be followed by the 'judges' or what precedent values will exist.
In the constant existential crises, of the nonsensical British scum state, established on the basis of a British mentored sectarian headcount, with rules and ongoing lawlessness of farcical law, its obvious injustice, commands no respect from informed Irish citizens, with the exception of Her majesty's cultivated bigoted, sectarian, neo-colonial, commoners.
With indefinite internment without a fair trial, without formal charges, where counsel is uniformed, where an individual cannot have their day in open court, events such as the miscarriages of justice like the Guildford 4 and the Birmingham 6 will become the secret norm. Internees without trial are being secretly judged, by observers with a vested financial and political interest to infer guilt by often bigoted, prejudiced, sectarian, racist, blackmailed, intimidated bureaucrats of colonial perceptions.
The dehumanization of internees such as Marian Price, through the infliction of pain and torture, not only damages her body and mind, it is as Elaine Scarry wrote, world-destroying, "It is the intense pain that destroys a person‘s self and world, a destruction experienced spatially as either the contraction of the universe down to the immediate vicinity of the body or as the body swelling to fill the entire universe. Intense pain is also language destroying; as the content of one‘s world disintegrates, so the content of one‘s language disintegrates; as the self disintegrates, so that which would express and project the self is robbed of its source and its subject. Thus, physical erasure also eliminates the intelligible voice, reducing human speech to the primordial expression of pain, a state anterior to language."
In addition to these erasures of her body, mind and self, British torture achieves a third form of physical erasure by the very fact
of the political prisoners‘ torture, requiring concealment. The retreat of torture from respectability by European standards, means that the British must perform their brutality in hiding, primarily with censorship. However they also conceal their involvement in rendition, as they hide their activity in subcontracted assassinations, with more curtains over their already, shrouded victim's bodies such as several human rights lawyers liquidated in British Occupied Ireland
While in some instances, their prolonged stress positions along with other techniques, constituting cruel, inhuman, degrading treatment, may not always rise to the level of torture, they nevertheless were found guilty of such, by the International Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg regarding their activity in Ireland. The physical erasure of British torture is self-evident in their colonial history worldwide, right up to the present day and therefore needs only brief comment.
In secret British courts, with identity blacked out on their transcripts, judges will not countenance torture complaints, deeming this complaint conduct unacceptable and defendants will receive a final warning, oblivious to international law. In such courts they do not tolerate words, such as international law. The British are not concerned about international law and insist on it, by having internees like Marian Price, removed from the hearings, so that their secret services and military can consider classified evidence against her in secret.
If we accept the integrity of human rights law and its independence from any state sovereign, then it follows that there can never be
lawlessness such as there is in British Occupied Ireland, only gross violations of human rights law. Britain's current habeas-corpus-stripping provisions, are a core breach of human rights law. The many liberty concerns with regard to the Geneva Conventions and current British attempts at unilateral re-interpretation of sections of international law, have no constitutional basis whatsoever.
British Occupied Ireland with the treatment of political internees such as Marian Price, Martin Corey and many others, has become a human-rights-free zone. The quarantine of many Irish political prisoners is a familiar concealment. When placed in a human rights context. British Occupied Ireland is often described in terms of the British government‘s denial of rights to political prisoners but equally important the denial of their Irish humanity.
British Occupied Ireland has been a laboratory, of their systematic dehumanization, while they use their corporate right-wing media, such as the BBC world service, to refer to prisoners of conscience, as terrorists, to ostracize them from what it means to be human and allow the British continue the physical and mental maltreatment of Irish political prisoners, abhorrent to human beings. Thus they accomplish through cultural erasure, through the creation of the terrorist narrative; legal erasure and physical erasure through torture.
While the dimensions of dehumanization are distinct, they are interrelated. All are connected by law and specifically by human rights. The British have created the preconditions for state power activity, so brutal, as to deprive Irish political prisoners of the ability to be human or have any human rights. Irish political internees stand exposed to the violence of the British state, unmediated, unprotected by any human rights, reducing political internees to a state of bare life without humanity. The evolving normalization, is the Irish have no right, to have rights, a vacuum enabling extreme British state violence, placing the internment of internees such as Marian Price, at the center of a struggle not just for rights, but for humanity that includes you and me.
Through resistance, political space will open up but the mere resistance, the assertion of self against state violence, is in itself life-affirming. Resistance is a way of staying human. This, then, is the work that human rights do, when pushed to the brink of annihilation, they provide us with a rudimentary and perhaps inadequate tool to maintain our humanity. Thus by paying particular attention to the value of human rights and arguing the importance of rights, it becomes a mode of peaceful resistance, to British state violence. British internment is a military act of war on a defenceless civilian population, even their own beloved wartime Churchill called it and odious act of war in wartime.
It has been used in every decade in Ireland in the last century with political concentration camps with impunity, because the British ruling class regard and portray the Irish as subhuman. Indeed Irish political prisoners of conscience, currently live in subhuman conditions in British Occupied Ireland. Irish political prisoners pushed to the the edge of annihilation of their identity, have a long track record of participating in direct forms of resistance in many forms, including dirt strikes and hunger strikes, as a form of prisoner resistance, along with lawyer rights-based litigation and the hunger strikes, sharing an understanding of the relationship between rights, violence, and humanity.
While sometimes the resistance of lawyers and of prisoners may not be enough to win the prisoners‘ freedom as in the instance of dozens of Irish political prisoners who have died on hunger strike, it is still essential when British state violence is so extreme, as to attempt to extinguish our humanity and carry out this act of war on a defenceless civilian population that we explore every peaceful mode of resistance, besides fighting fire with fire. We have a moral obligation to consider all other alternatives first, that we fight fire with water and deny the British, with their barbaric acts of war on ordinary people, any basis for their inhumanity with their terrorist narrative.
Ordinary people too, who are genuinely interested in real peace in Ireland, have a responsibility to work for justice in Ireland, which is the only basis for a real lasting peace. Careerist politicians making millions off the backs of the long suffering Irish people make superficial careerist calls for peace, knowing full well is is hypocritical nonsense in an island of a divided Ireland, in more senses than one, planted firmly in social and political injustice of the extreme.
There is rally today, Saturday the 3rd of November in Dublin, starting at the Garden of Remembrance at 2.00 p.m, which goes to the historic GPO. That is a good start for anyone genuinely interested interested in Peace in Ireland and remove the basis of political violence. It would do well for those politicians engaged in state violence and acts of war against the Irish people of no property, to open their minds to this suggestion, rather than mouth vacuous, hypocritical condemnations for strictly political profit.

Green Day Irish Holocaust
Good Riddance Irish Holocaust
Ghengis Paterson and Reichsführer-SS PSNI Baggot, the unelected, unaccountable, English warlords overseeing the British peace process in Occupied Ireland, have decided as a humane PR gesture, to allow children to sit beside the chimneys of the mortuary at Auschwitz, to bid farewell to their their Irish parents as they ascend into heaven. As was announced yesterday the British government plans gas the Irish in Germany after they lease their Auschwitz concentration camp as part of the solution to the Irish problem. The Irish children will be placed on top of the state of the art gas chamber called, "The Little Green House," a luxurious gassing facility with green smoke from the fine dust of the mortal Irish parents, ascend into heaven as the British sanitize Ireland by exterminating all of the remaining Irish.

Nazi-like British Sinn Fein plan to appropriate everything the Irish own, amounting to trillions of Euros. They also plan to confiscate all records relating to Irish investments, bank accounts, deeds and insurance policies. It is believed that Lord Muck and his power sharing partner of the family Robinson have already approached the British Government and will be requesting the Queen on her forthcoming visit, that all insurance claims due on life insurance policies owed to the Irish by British companies, be paid directly to the Executive in Stormont, until any missing Irish policy holders can be located.
To further sanitize the process this modern form of gas genocide will be conducted, with high tech efficiency and friendly SS PSNI staff, have been instructed to assist the Irish holidaymakers, declared Reichsführer-SS PSNI Baggot's press secretary from London yesterday, assuring the public that all SS PSNI staff will be busy, working hard to ensure an enjoyable camp experience for the Irish genocide. Like the last engineered slaughter of an estimated 6.5 million Irish at the hands of the British Empire, it will not be permitted to call it genocide but simply an Irish cull, as was the case with famine last time Irish extermination was attempted.
It is understood that Ghengis Paterson and Reichsführer-SS PSNI Baggot, are considering a cull of all of the 80 million Irish diaspora worldwide, based on the sheer scale of the green menace posed by the Irish, which threatens all of the free world at this time. The 'final Irish solution' is to be screened as a series by the BBC to also solve their problem of falling ratings with embedded pundits, commentary and spin doctors to ensure the world has a thoroughly British take on proceedings. Whole families worldwide will be herded into their sitting rooms by the BBC world service, to watch lethal doses of the BBC on their TV screens, switched on by high-ranking BBC executives.
After many attempts of ethnically cleansing Ireland of its Irish inhabitants nuisnace, the plan by the two English warlords was sold to the BBC to notch up some fantastic ratings with the new Irish series. A BBC spokesperson was quoted as saying, "To up our dying ratings, we realised what was required was something never done before, like turning mass-killing of the Irish into mass-entertainment. The series will be called the Irish Internment of the Ghengis Paterson Reich. It will be very good box-office and it will save us from having to pay actors."
Like the current short-sighted strategy of political internment and the torture of Marian Price in occupied Ireland, the British didn’t envision in their last Irish holocaust, bringing eager revolutionaries into the Young Irelanders, the Fenian Brotherhood or the Irish Republican Brotherhood. Those who died in the last Irish holocaust provided martyrs for Ireland's cause, to drive the British off Irish soil whatever the cost, by any means, which later gave birth to the contemporary Irish Republican Army. The great hunger as the last Irish holocaust became known, brought a harvest of death that is still with us in modern-day Ireland but then unaccountable english overlords like Ghengis Paterson and Reichsführer-SS PSNI Baggot wouldn't know or care much about that.

AUSCHWITZ THE FINAL IRISH SOLUTION
Auschwitz Concentration Camp for Interned Irish
Political Internment Without Trial British Occupied Ireland
The British. government has asked Germany to lease their Auschwitz concentration camp along with other WW II internment camps, as part of their final solution to the Irish problem. One German official has said off the record, “We have these camps sitting empty since the 40′s, so we may as well put them to use. They may take a bit of refurbishing but, there is no question we can get them up and running quickly.” With the breakdown of the peace process in Ireland following British non-compliance, Auschwitz with its gas chambers has now being agreed by Furhrer Fuhrer Paterson with his unelected fellow Englsih Reichsführer-SS PSNI Matthew Baggoas as their final solution, to liquidate the Irish problem in Occupied Ireland.

Auschwitz concentration camp a network of concentration and extermination camps, used by the Third Reich was annexed by Nazi Germany during World War II. The largest of the German concentration camps, Auschwitz has now being designated by Owen Paterson the British successor of Ghengis Khan for occupied-Ireland and his fellow englishman, the Reichsführer-SS PSNI Matthew Baggot from London, as the place for the "final solution of the Irish question in British Occupied Ireland". Friendly SS PSNI staff will were there to assist the Irish holidaymakers according to Baggot's press secretary from London who has assured the public that all SS PSNI staff will be very busy, working hard to ensure the camp experience is as enjoyable as possible for the Irish.
The British plan helicopters and transport trains via the port of Dun Laoghaire, with the compliance of the other British neo-colony in Dublin to deliver the Irish to the internment camp's gas chambers from all over occupied-Ireland. Presently there are quite a few Irishmen interned without trial by the British, along with a woman called Marian Price who has been tortured in solitary confinement for almost a year now without trial. There are also some Irish in British prisons who after interrogation at the PSNI Gestapo headquarters are now imprisoned in British Nazi camps for political prisoners, for years waiting vainly for some sort of a trial even without a jury, with a chance to plead their case. They are also discussions with the Government in the south to operate a form of compulsory emigration on all of the island, to get rid of the dole queues, those on disability and some of the younger old age pensioners, to give these excess Irish some work experience, after they pass through the iron gates crowned with the infamous motto, Arbeit macht frei "work makes free."
The Irish will initially have to work in the associated munitions factories, except on Sundays, which are reserved for cleaning and prayers. The harsh work requirements, combined with poor nutrition and hygiene may lead to some collateral damage or deaths among the prisoners prior to gassing after they are past their sell by date. Within Auschwitz there is a "prison within the prison", where dissident Irish will be punished by being forced to spend their nights in "standing cells" which are similar to Marian Price's current cell, where they will be forced to dance a few jigs and then work with other prisoners during the day. The "starvation cells" in the basement is where prisoners will get neither food nor water until they are dead, as opposed to the force feeding last time of Marian Price for 200 days on hunger strike.
The basement also has "dark cells"; with just a small tiny window and solid door, where the Irish will be placed in cells to slowly suffocate to prevent any further waste of Britain's free, precious, dwindling, oxygen supply in Ireland. Some of the unrepentant Irish fenians, will be hung with their hands behind backs for days, occasionally dislocating some of their joints, similar to the effects of torture treatment for which Britain was already found guilty by the European Court of human rights in Strasburg. It is understood that Fuehrer Paterson has already given the order for the final solution of the Irish problem to his fellow englishman, the the Reichsführer of the SS PSNI, to carry out the order.
Later on the British plan to use Zyklon B for extermination at Auschwitz in its gas chambers with a state of the art crematorium to burn all evidence of the Irish off the face of the earth, as the previous British Holocaust engineered by the British famine while killing over 6 million was unsuccessful in eradicating all of them. The extermination camp, is designed to hold several categories of Irish political prisoners ultimately being an extermination camp, after they get a bit of work out of them. The first gas chamber will be called, "The Little Green House," a luxurious gassing facility, so named because the smoke will be green with fhe fine dust of their mortal Irish bodies, ascending to heaven, as a tribute to their centuries of suffering in their vale of tears in Ireland, where it is planned to exterminate all of the remaining Irish, with the exception of Martin McGuinness who has given it the nod in Stormont, accepting in the interest of cross community co-operation, the extent of the cold-blooded slaughter, based on the sheer scale of the menace posed by the Irish, which threatens the free world at this time.
Fuhrer Paterson has fully committed the British to this final solution, to exterminate all of the Irish no later than Easter 2016, as an extension of the existing part of Britain's peace process of internment without trial. The British have decided to increase considerably the gassing capacity, along with the mortuary, morgues in the basement with ground-level furnaces converted into a slaughter house for the Irish, with gas-tight doors in the morgues with Zyklon B gas. The camp will be staffed by prison warders selected from Maghaberry prison, along with some Loyalist convicts. The staff will be supervised by members of the SS PSNI, hiring about another 6,000 SS PSNI members to work at Auschwitz. Due to the large size of the British Nazi genocide project for the Irish at Auschwitz Concentration Camp, personnel from Sinn Fein will be offered some power sharing areas of responsibility modules with generous remuneration. Unfortunately because some dissidents perceive current British policy in occupied Ireland by the english Fuhrer and his Reichsführer-SS PSNI as fascist. it has produced the return of politically incorrect humour which Paterson plans to exterminate. The story below is an example which will probably be censored or interned without trial
During the last war preceding the next one, a Scottish, an English and an Irish soldier were captured by an S.S. officer, who says,“ Before du go in to die concentration camp, I vill give each of you vone hundert lashes , but since yous have vought bravely I vill give you one vish each.” He turns to the Scot and asks him,“Vhat is your vish ? ” The scottish soldier replies, “I would like one of your wee S.S. jackets to put on me when you are whipping me ”“Your vish is granted,” says the S.S. officer and he gets a leather S.S. jacket to put on the Scot and when he has it on, he gives him one hundred lashes with his whip, then the Scottish soldier crawls into the concentration camp.
Next the S.S. officer says to the English soldier, “Du have vought bravely also, Vhat ist your vish?”The English soldier replies, “I would like a mattress to put across my back, old boy!” The S.S. officer putsts a mattress across the English soldier’s back and gives him one hundred lashes who then crawls into the concentration camp. Then the S.S. officer goes to the Irish soldier and says, “Du have also vought bravely , even more bravely than sie other two , for this I vill give du two vishes ” Immediately the Irish soldier replies, “ Arragh, I would like two hundred lashes!” The S.S. officer replies, “Are du sure?” “Yes I am!” replies the Irish soldier. The S.S. officer then says, “Fair enough, then vhat vould your second vish be??”
The Irish soldier then replies, “Put that english bastard on my back!!!”

Solidarity with Marian Price: an injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere
Hundreds of people gathered in Derry’s Bogside today in what was one of the largest demonstrations held yet in support of the imprisoned political prisoner Marian Price to demand her immediate release.
Marian, a former IRA hunger striker had been interned following an Easter Commemoration in Derry last year on the order of Secretary of State, Owen Paterson. She was held at Maghaberry, an all-male prison, in isolation for over ten months. Due to serious concerns about her ailing health and continuing street protests she was eventually transferred to Hydebank Woman's Prison back in February ‘on clinical advice’.
Today’s event itself was organised by a number of independent activists from Belfast and Derry and had been led by renowned human rights campaigner Monsignor Raymond Murray and a number of Bloody Sunday relatives.
The march departed from Free Derry Corner making its way through the streets to the Guildhall Square for a rally which was attended by members of the Workers Solidarity Movement.
Amongst the hundreds who crammed into the city centre the march and rally brought together a number of high profile human rights activists, former political prisoners as well representatives from various political parties and trade unionists in a show of solidarity not seen since the 1980’s prison struggle.
The rally was also addressed by Marian’s husband, Jerry McGlinchey who thanked those in who supported the campaign for justice by demanding Marian’s immediate release.
Despite periods of heavy rain today’s rally ended on a high note by a brief call directly from Marian herself where she heard a very loud and unison shout out by those gathered: “FREE MARIAN PRICE!”

FOX NEWS IRELAND
English Tory Considers Internment of Irish Horses in Occupied Ireland
Brian Faulkner the last Prime Minster of Occupied Ireland like the present autocrat, the unelected English Tory, Owen Paterson was an committed foxhunter. Faulkner lived in Highlands Estate, near the village of Seaforde and surrounded himself and his family like Paterson today, with the heavy security presence of the disgraced Ulster Defence Regiment, while Paterson uses their renamed successors, the Royal Irish Rangers for whom he raised a huge sum of money riding in the worlds most horse cruel race of 1,000 kilometers over 10 days in the Mongolian Derby last Summer. Faulkner who was ultra security conscious had every room in his house leading to another, with panic buttons everywhere. Despite all of this his horse of fenian pedigree got him.

Forty years ago, Faulkner introduced internment without trial, which detonated the troubles up to the present day, leading to a much touted peace agreement, with supposed de-miltarization and a host of other broken promises, the British have reneged on, along with the blood huntsman's re-introduction of internment without trial, a military tactic of the last resort, used on a civilian population in wartime. It certainly does not belong with promises of de-militariszation. Just as people were starting to compromise, the internment of Marian Price, along with several other interned Irish republican prisoners, has inflamed and enraged many people worldwide again.
Lord Faulkner who hunted and sadistically organized the ripping of foxes to shreds, died on 3 March 1977 at the age of 56, when he broke his neck, when his horse threw him, while fox hunting at Saintfield, County Down. His Lordship of twenty-four days of Her Majesty's bestowed life peerage, was the the shortest-living peer in history. Paterson who is also 56 and has stoutly defended foxhunting in the House of Commoners, while maintaining it in Occupied Ireland, will be hoping for a peerage to match the family of British nobility he married into. However he hasalso overuled the Queen's pardon of Marian Price, claiming to have lost or shredded it for the first time in the history of Royal pardons. Paterson along with his English Tory Police Chief Baggott are reported to be considering the internment of Irish horses as a precautionary measure and an example to any other politicized Irish horses, with a fenian pedigree or otherwise.
This unelected Tory who has also overruled Her Majesty's judiciary on two separate occasion who had ordered the release of Marian Price, deciding she posed no danger to the public. He has also overruled Stormont who had the audacity to try to ban the brutal activity of foxhunting but Paterson used his autocratic power in Ireland to maintain this cruel activity for his Tory gentry horsey set in Occupied Ireland.
His fellow English Tory Matt Baggot, who is the born again virgin chief of the paramilitary police, enforcing Paterson's dictat to kidnap Marian Price and her Irish republican comrades in their own land without any judicial or political remit, is also a wild life criminal. Baggot too likes to follow Paterson around, along with first minister Robinson, who also likes hunting, shooting and fishing at places like Ballywalter, where they like to watch Paterson sporting his favourite colours pink. It still remains an Official Secret, whether McGuinness is a foxhunter, besides his other hunting activities but his party have reportedly given it a nod and a wink with token opposition.
.
If you disagree with foxes being ripped apart by sadistic horsey gentry in Occupied Ireland, then you can let Paterson's friends know at:
East Down Hunt website, East Down Foxhounds, North Down Hunt, Dungannon Foxhounds, South Tyrone Foxhounds, Killultagh, Old Rock and Chichester Foxhounds or the Iveagh Foxhounds.
If on the other hand you disagree with Irish people being interned without trial indefinitely, in their own land by unelected English Tories, then you can Google, CAUSES Marian Price.
Below are the lyrics of the song Long Kesh, engraved in Irish folk memory, of Faulkner's infamous crime in song, which can be found on YouTube.
Long Kesh
There is a place just outside Lisburn
It´s a place that´s known to few
Where a group of Irish rebels
Are held by Faulkner´s crew
There are forced to live in cages
Like the inmates of Bellevue
But the spirit of 1916
Will always see them through
The men in this vile place
They come from far and near
Some from the Derry Bogside
And Omagh town so near
And some of them from Belfast
From the Markets and the Falls
From the narrow streets of Ardoyne
And all around Tyrone
On that black day in August
When Faulkner showed his hand
He thought that by internment
He could break our gallant band
But the boys from Ballymurphy
How they showed the way that night
How they taught those English soldiers
How Irishmen could fight
Long Kesh it´s known to everyone
The system must be broke
Ardoyne, the New Lodge and the Falls
Will see the system choke
No more the Special Powers Act
Those fiends they will invoke
And Long Kesh will be the U stone
On which the system´s broke
A word now Irish people
No matter where you are
Remember our brave rebels
In Long Kesh this year
And by civil disobedience
Or any other way
Let's make a stand until the day
Each one of them are free

Peace Process Without Due Process
Peace Process Without Due Process
John McGuffin an Ulster Anarchist
John McGuffin an Ulster anarchist was cremated 10 years ago on this coming May Day in Belfast. I met John in London almost 40 years ago, when we got drunk together.John was the sole anarchist of the People's Democracy movement of the late sixties and carried alone an anarchist banner on the infamous Burntollet part of the civil rights march which was viciously attacked by Loyalists in and out of uniform. He was interned in 1971, writing a book later, about his experience and about internment in Ireland, followed by another book called 'The Guineapigs', about the torture of political internees of that time
John McGuffin and Ulster anarchist was cremated 10 years ago on this coming May Day in Belfast. He was interned in 1971, writing a book later, about his experience and about internment in Ireland, followed by another book called 'The Guineapigs', about the torture of political internees of that time
John was from a Protestant background, who never met a Catholic until he was 18. He had however many libertarians friends from Germany and came from a very political family. His coffin was draped in the anarchist red and black flag or the "Up Down flag" as he called it ! John was contrary and being true to himself not always easy to get along with. I first met John at a Trotskyist get together in London, where he was a respected activist.
His latter book, "The Guineapigs" was about fourteen Irish political prisoners, with whom the British experimented with sensory deprivation torture in 1971. With the return of political Internment without trial this form of torture is still continued particularly with Marian Price held for a year in solitary confinement. Their 'techniques' which were outlawed after Britain was convicted at the International Court of Human Rights at Strasbourg. Britain exported the techniques to its neo-colonies and its commonwealth worldwide. His book published in 1974 was sold out on his first run but was taken off the shelf and censored by the British Government as is today's internment.
Modern torture techniques such as 'Sensory Deprivation' is still being perfected by the British on guineapigs like Marian Price and her comrades for future use against civilians. John McGuffin being an ex-internee himself also spent two years researching the book, where he named the torturers. None of the British Army or RUC were ever convicted of torture or brutality, despite the fact that the British were forced to pay out more than $5 million in compensation to victims of torture.
In his earlier book called 'Internment' in Chapter 7 he wrote:
"THE POLITICS OF INTERNMENT 1971
In the mid-1960's people might have been forgiven for thinking that internment was a thing of the past. (True, the obnoxious Special Powers Acts were still on the Statute Book, but they were in abeyance). Such thinking was not to be right, however. The monolithic structure of Unionism proved incapable of reforming itself under the onslaught of the civil rights campaign. Terence O'Neill might have been able to save the Unionists with his pragmatic approach and his appreciation of the need for change, but their diehard 'not an inch'
backwoodsmen would have none of it. And so the week of 12 - 16 August 1969 saw the old familiar pattern: a police force unable, and, in many cases unwilling,[1] to prevent the sectarian attack upon the Falls Road periphery, led in some cases by the B specials. That month was to see house burning, intimidation and murder — ten civilians dead, including a 9-year-old boy asleep in his bed, shot by a high-velocity Browning machine-gun used with murderous recklessness by the police in their Shorland armoured cars; 145 injured, hundreds of families burnt out of their homes, 90% of them Catholic. Free Derry was born that week. The barricades went up in Belfast. The first steps towards the irrevocable demise of Stormont were taken. And, predictably, men were detained, without charge or trial....."
"But the Unionist hierarchy learn nothing from history. The gangling figure of Chichester Clark, the stand-in PM, shambled off into obscurity as 1970 and 1971 saw an escalation of the violence by the Provisional IRA, themselves a reaction to the attempted 'Loyalist' pogrom of 1969.
On 23 March 1971 Brian Arthur Deane Faulkner achieved his lifelong ambition and became PM. The English press warned that he was the 'last man in'. If he couldn't control the situation, direct rule was a certainty. But despite the obvious immensity of the task, Faulkner was confident.
This was the moment for which he had schemed, intrigued and betrayed, for so long. With a staggering record of disloyalty to previous PMs, he could hardly expect to be trusted or liked, but surely all could agree on his shrewdness and ability.
In fact, Faulkner's intelligence was always greatly over-rated by the media. And his biggest mistake was soon to come. The Sunday Times 'Insight' team claim[2] that "when he took over the issue was not whether internment was to come, but when and on what scale. By then Faulkner had been an advocate of internment inside Chichester Clark's Joint Security Committee, for six months." Whether this is true or not, and on balance it seems a reasonable statement, it is certain that Faulkner had completely failed to learn the lesson of how and when internment 'worked'. He had been Minister for Home Affairs in 1959 under Brookeborough, and, with the help of his trusty aide, the civil servant William Stout, he had been responsible for the implementation of internment, which he apparently felt to be responsible for the defeat of the IRA border campaign. As is made clear already, this just was not so......"
Forty years later in 2012 who would have thought, we would have "Internment" again or a 'Peace Process' without Due Process ! The withdrawal of the SDLP from Stormont was the response of the only Nationalist opposition last time the other sadistic fox hunter Brian Faulkner introduced internment and they established an "Alternative Assembly" in Strabane. Oppostion is still not tolerated within Stormont or without, these days by the unelected Englishman in Ireland Paterson but yet again the SDLP are the only real voices of clarity and passion there, opposing the internment of Marian Price and the jailing of all genuine opponents of British Occupation in Ireland.
Peace and democracy are still the few Brit buzz words not censored but a cursory examination shows that at best they are a satire. Indeed Her Majesty's unelected Paterson with his army of secret service puppet masters at Hollywood, along with his fellow English RUC man Baggot, will not tolerate any Irish opposition to their Irish occupation. Indeed he also employs certain Provo leaders who are well greased, as storm troopers and censors with their bastardized Voltaire version of a dishonourable peace.
In 1971 Faulkner offered in Stormont to the SDLP a degree of power-sharing. The SDLP have clearly said they were obliged in principle to leave Stormont because Foxhunter Faulkner introduced internment without trial as has his despotic horsey successor. The SDLP curiously are the only party to challenge MI5's along with Paterson and Baggot's absolute control of Stormont who to derive their authority from Her Majesty not mere commoners. However the two Englishmen have presided over the disappearance of Her Majesty's documentation in the instance of Marian Price which is further perverting the course of justice or more appropriately injustice, on the matter. This constitutes criminality carrying a life sentence for non nobility such as commoners. Further, be it Queen's English or plain English they both should be charged with kidnap be they citizens, commoners or the protected species of horsey Tory blood hunters in Occupied Ireland.
